D1 Hockey Prospects

Guiding Top Hockey Prospects on the Path to Athletic and Academic Excellence

Do You Have What it Takes to Reach your Goals as a Hockey Player?

Do you have the talent to reach your goals as a hockey player? What path will you take to meet those goals? How can you develop your skills to maximize your chances of success? Are you an NCAA D1 Prospect?

D1hockeyprospects.com has an excellent record of identifying talented youth hockey players; we identify players who we believe have great potential, players who can meet their goals if they follow the proper path of player and personal development. (Scroll down to see a list of players we Idntifiied

when they were peewees and bantams. Although they were only 12 or 13 years old as the time, we recognized that these players had the skill and talent to play the game at very high levels. Clearly the everything was in place their work ethic, and their allowed them to reach their full potential as hockey players.

Here is how D1Hockey Prospects can Help:

  • Identifying Your Skill Set
  • Video Review of your Tactical and Technical Skill
  • Creating a Player Development Plan Based on Your Skill Set

Step 1 is identifying the talent; Step 2 is creating a Player Development Plan. Hockey scouts assessment of player potential can vary greatly. There are countless examples of players who were predicted to have a future in the NHL, but ultimately never went on to play the game at the highest levels. Conversely, there are a multitude of players who the scouts missed, players who went on to play Division 1 College hockey and beyond. Scouting is not a perfect science.

How Will You Meet Your Athletic and Academic Goals?

Elite student athletes today face a wide range of choices and options as they seek out the best environments to play hockey or other sports of choice. They also need to find an academic environment that will allow them to reach their full potential as lifelong learners. It's often challenging to find the best of both worlds.

The goal should be to play hockey for a program that provides:

  • Opportunities for cutting edge player development and training
  • Elite competition
  • A minimum of a 4:1 practice to game ratio
  • Excellent facilities
  • Character building and leadership skill development
  • Positive, enjoyable life experiences
  • A path to meet your own individual, personal goals in hockey

The goal should be to attend a school that provides:

  • A challenging academic environment
  • A supportive academic environment
  • Innovative curriculum and an extraordinary faculty
  • Excellent facilities
  • Character building and leadership skill development
  • Positive, enjoyable life experiences
  • A path to meet your own individual, personal academic goals

How D1 Hockey Prospects Educational Consulting Can Help

There are a wide range of educational consultants and family advisors today to choose from; many are exceptional, others are focused on one area or another and may not be the best option for hockey players. Many offer a lump sum, consultant-driven service that can be quite expensive and may not be suitable or necessary for all families. We believe that the student athlete needs to be the driving force behind their own search; family members and consultants should provide support and guidance.

We offer a flexible range of services that you can select to meet your individual needs. Consulting services are compensated on an hourly basis; select and use our services as needed. Services offered include:

  • Assistance in selecting an appropriate range of Junior Boarding schools to explore
  • Assistance in selecting an appropriate range of Secondary Boarding schools to explore
  • Assistance in the application process
  • Assistance in the financial aid application process
  • On-ice player evaluation, testing, and training
  • Off-ice player evaluation, testing, and training
  • Development of individualized on-ice and off-ice training programs
  • Holistic assessment of the student athlete's goals and development of a comprehensive plan to reach those goals
